Description
EF Education First new headquarters building located next to the Zakim Bridge and Paul Revere park. The image also shows the TD Garden, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and the Museum of Science at sunrise on a beautiful morning.
The Education First headquarters is designed to look like a massive waterfall, with a jagged column of glass cascading along the middle of its facade. The building is inspired by the nearby Charles River.
The Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge across the Charles River in Boston, Massachusetts. This photography image shows the Zakim Bridge, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, TD Bank North Garden, North Station, and their reflections at twilight. Leonard Zakim was a civil rights leader. The Zakim bridge was built as part of the Boston's Big Dig and it represents the worlds widest cable-stayed bridge.
The TD Garden (originally the Shawmut Center and later the FleetCenter and the TD Banknorth Garden; locally known as the Boston Garden and The Garden) is a multi-purpose arena in Boston, Massachusetts. It is named after its sponsor TD Bank. TD Garden is the home arena for the NBA Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association and the NHL Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League. It is owned by Delaware North, whose CEO, Jeremy Jacobs, also owns the Bruins. It is the site of the annual Beanpot college hockey tournament, and hosts the annual Hockey East Championships. The arena has also hosted many major national sporting events including the 1999, 2003, and 2009 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball regional first and second rounds, the 2009 and 2012 Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight, the 1998 Frozen Four, the 2004 Frozen Four, and the 2006 Women's Final Four. It also hosted the home games of the 2008 and 2010 NBA Finals, and the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals for the Celtics and Bruins, respectively.
The Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital is a 196-bed rehabilitation teaching hospital located in Boston. It is an official teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the main campus of the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network. The hospital is a member of Partners Continuing Care under Partners HealthCare, a non-profit organization that owns several hospitals in Massachusetts. Spaulding is the official rehabilitation hospital of the NFL New England Patriots football team of the National Football League.
North Station is a major transportation hub located at Causeway and Nashua Streets in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. It is one of the city's two terminals for Amtrak and MBTA commuter trains, the other being South Station. The main concourse of North Station is located at the street level, immediately below TD Garden, a major sports venue in Boston, and home of the Boston Bruins hockey team and the Boston Celtics basketball team. The indoor sports arena is also used for rock concerts and other events, taking advantage of the extensive transportation connections at the site.
The Museum of Science (MoS) is a Boston, Massachusetts landmark, located in Science Park, a plot of land spanning the Charles River. Along with over 500 interactive exhibits, the Museum features a number of live presentations throughout the building every day, along with shows at the Charles Hayden Planetarium and the Mugar Omni IMAX theater, the only domed IMAX screen in New England. The Museum is also an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and is home to over 100 animals, many of which have been rescued and rehabilitated from various dangerous situations. The Museum is also one of the city's three bases of operations for Boston's privately operated Duck Tours.
