Artist's Description

Picture perfect New Hampshire White Mountains fall foliage photography of the Albany Covered Bridge near Conway, NH. Photograph was taken in late September while autumn colors were close to peaking. The bridge is easily accessible from one of New England most glorious and scenic byways at the end of the Kancamangus Highway.

The Albany Covered Bridge was constructed in 1857 and destroyed by a windstorm in 1858. At that time, Amzi Russell and Leandre Morton entered into an agreement with the town to build a new bridge. The bridge with its wide shallow arches and sharply raked facades is eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.

Moving water has become one of my favorite objects. These scenes are difficult to photograph but make for beautiful subjects. Short exposures freeze the water and often translates into less favorable images. On the other hand, streaming waters provide wonderful silky shapes and patterns when longer exposure times are chose...
