Description
This is one of a series titled Seven Figures in Limbo. It measures 8 feet by 8 feet so my photograph does not show as much detail as I'd like. It consists of a painting of a man in front of a purple drop that is cut out and suspended in front of a white panel with a black shape painted on it. The rope, iron ring, bamboo, and screw eyes are three dimensional. the grommets in the purple background are painted. In the Limbo series I am exploring states of struggle, thought, perception, and frustration among others.
