The other day I got my hands on a bunch of purple irises. It was a great find and allowed me to add an additional image to my existing floral Fine Art Photography Gallery collection. My studio window faces northeast and provides exceptional morning light bouncing off my neighbors' walls. This is ideal as I prefer working with natural light. I lighten up the darker areas of the floral when it is facing away from the window by using a reflector to direct light towards these areas. Adjusting the reflector to explore the impact of light in photography and better control the lighting on the floral is a great learning experience. It is a very delicate process and one has to watch carefully to notice the adjustment for maximum impact. Sometimes I am still in awe on its affect and how it positively enhances the quality of a photograph....
