Description

Coastal Maine seascape photography at sunset featuring a spectacular view across the beautiful cliffs at Ravens Nest along the Acadia National Park coastal shoreline of Schoodic Peninsula. This coastal spot is secretly tucked away in the much less crowded portion of the national park. The area is dramatic and unmarked an unpromoted by the park for obviously reasons. I finally made a return journey to the only area of the national park that is located on main land. With tripod and camera positioned at the edge of the steep Ravens Nest cliffs in front of me and one wrong step away from going down into the ocean I captured Sunset at Ravens Nest.

Acadia NP is a National Park located in the U.S. state of Maine. It reserves much of Mount Desert Island, and associated smaller islands, off the Atlantic coast. The park is one of the most visited wildlife areas in the United States and a paradise for every photographer and outdoor enthusiast. The park loop road provides easy access to many of the iconic photography subjects, such as Schoodic Peninsula, Monument Cove, Sand Beach, Jordan Pond and the Bubbles, Otter Cliff to name only a few.
