Black and White New England nature and astrology photography of a rising full moon over the historic Boston Bunker Hill Bridge in Charlestown, MA. This iconic bridge is better known as the Zakim Bridge that was erected as part of the Big Dig. It is always a special treat experiencing and photographing a full moon.

Super moon is the next step up and the next one is expected 14 November 2016. A supermoon is known as a new or full moon occurring at the same time the moon comes within 90 percent of its closest approach to Earth in a given orbit. It is an astronomical event that happens 4-6 times a year, but according to a NASA Science News story, last nights full moon nearly coincided with the moon's arrival at its closest point in its orbit around the Earth, resulting in the biggest, visible full moon in North America in two decades.
