Upon arrival at Pemaquid Neck which is part of Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park in Maine and the scenic location of Pemaquid Point Light, I initially explored various composition of the lighthouse but settled on this initial composition because of the attractive foreground while awaiting a beautiful sunset. A neutral density filter enabled longer exposure times while a split neutral density filter managed the high contrast between the dark foreground and bright sky. The long exposure photography image enabled me to convey some sort of movement in the evening pink clouds and the incoming waves.

The Pemaquid Point Light is a historic Unites States lighthouse that is located in Bristol, Lincoln County, Maine, at the tip of the Pemaquid Neck. The Pemaquid Point lighthouse rises above the crashing surf of the Atlantic Ocean and the spectacular rock formations. It is a cultural and historical treasure and the famous New England lighthouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places as Pemaquid Point Light on 16th of April in 1985.
