Description
Photo collage of historic Boston landmarks displaying examples such as the Boston Trinity Church, USS Constitution battleship, also known as Old Ironsides, Boston Public Library and the Boston Public Garden Lagoon Bridge.
The Trinity Church in the City of Boston is a Christian thriving community located in the Back Bay of Boston, Massachusetts and is situated at the bottom of the John Hancock Tower. The historic USS Constitution is mooring in the Charlestown Navy Yard in historic Boston, Massachusetts. In the left of the photograph is the Bunker Hill monument, the site of the first major battle of the American Revolution. The Bunker Hill Monument on Breed's Hill is the end of the Boston Freedom Trail. Visiting this historic site and climbing to the top of the pinnacle is an experience itself but the vistas of Boston and surroundings are amazing and well worth the trip up the 294 steps. The Public Library was photographed on a beautiful summer night captured shortly after sunset at twilight. The Boston Public Library was founded in 1848 and is also known as the Library for the Commonwealth. The public library is located at Copley Square on the corner of Boylston Street and Dartmouth Street in the Boston neighborhood of Back Bay. The photograph of the historic Boston Public Garden Lagoon Bridge was taken on a magical autumn morning in November. The bridge crossing the lagoon in the Boston Public Garden was designed by William G. Preston and opened in 1867. It was the shortest functioning suspension bridge in the world before its conversion to a girder bridge in 1921. Nowadays the original suspension system is purely decorative.
